Celebrating 20 years in business as an expert witness, Mr. Chase is a licensed architect and experienced construction forensic expert witness, mediator, and arbitrator with more than 130 expert witness assignments in 11 states on the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S. As the former president and CEO of one of the largest architectural firms in the United States, he has been personally responsible for approximately $1B of constructed projects as designer, interior designer, specifier, project manager, architect-of-record and/or principal-in-charge.
With a Master of Science degree in architecture from Columbia University and a foundation in design, as well as deep technical and practical building experience, Mr. Chase has served as an expert witness for plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of forensic construction matters including:
- ADA accessibility guidelines;
- Entitlement;
- Insurance issues;
- Standard of reasonable care;
- Schedule matters;
- Construction defects;
- Contract disputes;
- Building codes;
- Water leakage and water intrusion;
